“The fighter/the winner” original painting

$700.00

“The fighter” or “the winner” is a painting I made in order to remind myself to keep going. At the point in time in which I made this painting I was dancing with the idea of giving up on my dreams of becoming a full time artist, thinking thoughts like “I’m not good enough” or “my work is never enough”. The creation of this piece was used as therapy to help heal myself of the metaphorical “blows” life had been throwing at me. The character is bruised and battered, but he’s still standing…and so am I. I won’t give up, I can’t give up. I’d rather die before I quit!

  • original 30 × 40 acrylic painting
